Like a train moving underground, music has a transportive quality. It takes you places. It moves you. Sometimes you don't know where that place is until you emerge from the station and find yourself somewhere new. You have been transported.
And so it goes with this band. We play music that moves you. From the times of your life to the present. Going all the way back to the seventies and eighties, up to music of the last decade. Classic rock n roll. Power pop. Southern. American. British. We cover a lot of ground and play it back through our voices. One set will take you to many times and places worth revisiting.
So get on the platform, step on the train, and prepare to be moved. Echoes Underground is leaving the station.

"When I had to fold tent because the Leeds market couldn't support another magic act, I knew it was time to put all me energies into drumming," says the lanky, soft-spoken Brit. "Back in those days I was running 'round with Andy (Partridge) and Paddy (McAloon) and that crowd," he said. "It was stonking brilliant." Oakley quickly gained success doing session work but his drumming career took an unexpected turn when, whilst touring with the Psychedelic Furs, he was arrested for starting a fight with Price of Priesthood drummer Bunko Veall behind Metro and was forced to stay behind in Chicago. He eventually made peace and made the Windy City his home. "Everything happens for a reason, does nit? I wouldn't have met these blokes." Oakley is now in his first year with the new band and looks forward to touring with them
